ADVANCED THEATRE CRAFTS: CORSET

In Advanced Theatre Crafts, our final project for the class was to create a corset. By sing a commercial pattern as our reference, it was a foundational basis to understand the basic reading and organization of a pattern. This required the class to create a mock-up of the pattern, using muslin. We then proceeded to do a fitting with the mock-up, altering the garment to fit to our body shape. Adding changes and alterations to our pattern to use for our fashion fabric and base. We were also given the choice to choose our fabric and adorn our garments the way we desired. As well as adding bias tape to the ends, to finish off with a smooth look.
