PLAY SYNOPSIS
Matilda, a bright and young prodigy, lives with her parents and brother who are aware of her gift but do not appreciate her and constantly neglect her. Matilda's parents enroll her in a school with ruthless and merciless headmistress, Miss Agatha Trunchbull, who soon antagonizes her and targets her for a reputation for "misbehavior." Matilda makes a connection with her homeroom teacher, Miss Honey, who soon discovers Matilda's gift and goes to lengths to make sure she is cared for in her education and well-being. As Matilda navigates her new school with her peers and Miss Trunchbull's totalitarian and violent teachings, she learns to stand up for herself and everyone around her, in order to do the right thing. With a little bit of mischief and fun involved.
